Program Benefits

Funded through federal grant Opioid Impacted Families Support Program (OIFSP), WUPSP offers:

  • $4,000 in scholarship support
  • $6,000 stipend for field placement
  • $7,500 per year in post-graduate stipends (for up to four years)

Who Qualifies?

Students in good academic standing in the following fields of study:

  • Human Services and Addictions
  • Social Work (BSW & MSW)
  • Counseling

Program Requirements

- One-year post-graduate commitment to working with individuals affected by substance use disorder

  • This requirement is broadly defined—most careers in the helping professions involve working with individuals and/or families impacted by substance use in some capacity.
  • You choose your employer—we do not assign job placements.

- Completion of a field placement as part of your academic program

- Maintain good academic standing
