For New Undergraduate Transfer Students starting in Fall 2025 and beyond: In fall 2025, NKU will be launching its 3 States, 1 Rate tuition model for new undergraduate students from Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. This is an exciting development for NKU as we continue to streamline the college admissions process, reduce the confusion and complexity surrounding college tuition and make education even more accessible for new students.
Schedule of Tuition & Fees (2024-2025)
Learn about the various tuition rates (Resident, Indiana Rate, Non-Resident, etc.) and review the schedule of tuition and fees for the current academic year.
Effective Fall 2019, new students may qualify for Ohio Tuition Reciprocity if they meet all of the following criteria:
Award: $2,500 annual ($1,250 per Fall and Spring)
Deadline: Must be admitted to NKU prior to June 15 (for Fall semester) // November 1 (for Spring semester)
Effective Fall 2019: Out-of-state transfer students transferring directly from the Kentucky Community Technical College System (KCTCS) with an earned associate degree with a 2.0 GPA or greater will be eligible for in-state tuition rates. Students must be first-time transfer students to NKU and enroll full-time.
Out-of-state transfer students not transferring directly from the Kentucky Community Technical College System (KCTCS) and earning a 2.0 GPA or greater and who reside in select counties listed below in Ohio or Indiana may also be eligible to receive a $5,200 award.
Ohio: Adams, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Cuyahoga, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Licking, Lorain, Pike, Preble, Madison, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Ross, Scioto, Union, Warren
Indiana: Clark, Hamilton, Marion
Students may not be eligible to receive the Tuition Incentive Program (TIP) if they are eligible to receive the Indiana Rate, Ohio Reciprocity tuition rate, are admitted to any PACE or online programs, or have already received a Bachelor's degree.

The application will be open now until 11:59pm EST on March 17, 2025.
Instructions on how to complete the application:
1. You will need to enter your NKU username and password to access the application form. (This is the same information that you use to access your NKU email and myNKU portal).
2. You will have the option to save your application and come back to it later and complete it.
3. You will be asked to provide a short answer or essay to the following prompts:
We would encourage you to think about those essays before starting the scholarship application.
4. You must have at least one (1) form or letter of reccomendation for your application to be considered complete.
5. There are are some donor scholarships that will require additional information. After you complete the general scholarship application, if you meet the first level of eligibility for these scholarships, you will be given the option to answer the additional questions for these scholarships.
The NKU Adult and Transfer Center will award one-time $1000 scholarships to those that meet the eligibility requirements outlined below. Scholarships are limited.

NKU students have various employment opportunities while attending classes on campus. You can find a job working in almost any NKU department. Most offices hire student employees every semester, and better yet, they work around your class schedule. In order to be eligible for Student Employment positions, you must be a degree seeking student and you must enroll in at least 9 credit hours each semester (excluding Summer semester) at Northern Kentucky University.
